Hawzah News Agency- Speaking about the government's economic reform plan on Sunday, Momeni said the plan aims to cut subsidized currency from the beginning of the chain (importers), to allocate it to the end of the chain (final consumers).
“We cannot spend all the country’s belongings on subsidies which will not go to the final consumers,” he said, in support for the plan which led to nationwide protests over the past week.
The minister said the protest over the economic woes turned violent by those steered the demonstrations toward “vandalizing, destruction, riots and terrorist actions.”
